Caroline Orlando, owner

Caroline Orlando is the director of Dance at Miss Carolines Dance Elite for 18 years. Just starting dance at the age of thirteen, she was instantly recognized and became a leader for her fellow dancers after only two years. Soon after, she was a part of the Queens Community Dance Company and The Ralph Lew Ensemble. Continuing her passion for dance, Caroline opened up her own dance studio encouraging the same dream and devotion to children and young adults. She introduced a creative and cultural environment for others, but also established a special dance education program for those in need. She is associated with Special Olympics, The Grace Foundation, The Batten's Foundation, and Hope & Heroes. She believes that all dreams can be achieved with willpower and dedication. When one walks through the door, Caroline sees the importance and originality of each student and will ignite the inner star in each of them. For Miss Caroline it's all about the children.

Thomas "Duke" Spellacy, owner

Duke has been Miss Caroline's business partner from the moment Dance Elite was established in August 1995. Upon graduating Tottenville High School he entered SICC and also worked as an electrician apprentice to learn the electrical trade. In 1978 he entered the NYC Fire Department and continued working as an electrician for B & B electric and Marrone electrical and also started a children's personalized story book business in 1990. When asked if he would be Caroline's partner in a Dance School , after careful consideration he realized that it would be an ideal partnership with each of the partners having their specialized individual areas of responsibility. Duke doesn't dance because he has two left feet, but he is very serious about all other aspects of the studio being well organized.
